OPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL CLINIC - WINDBA MAY 2023

 

This activity is a training program for high performance optimists, open to anyone who wants to become an expert in boat handling, technique, trim and knowledge of the sailing area.

It is designed to help participants build their skills and confidence in these areas so they can excel in the water.

NAVIGATION OBJECTIVES

- Adapt the navigation technique to local conditions.

- Understand the wind patterns and the meteorological behavior of the place. Learn to build the correct predictions.

- Improve starting skills in technical and tactical aspects.

- Race at the highest level, with the best sailors, in a competitive but friendly environment.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for participants to improve their sailing performance and enjoy the sport with other people who share their passion for the sport. Interested individuals are encouraged to reserve their place now to ensure a place in this high performance Optimist training program.

 

GUARANTEED EXPERT TRAINERS

 

The clinic head coach will be Oxi. 

 

Oxi has been one of the 3 coaches of  ITC, with Happy and Bocha. The three of them come a long way together since ITC Clinics gathered the highest level optimist sailors, between 2004 and 2011. 

​

The three of them work with different national teams, constantly performing at the highest level in IODA events, with countless medals and world titles. Together we have collected more than 30 IODA Medals only in World Championships.

 

Their coaching experience has guided many passionate sailors to continue sailing and go on to professional careers as well as Olympians. Many of them sailed in the past Tokyo Olympic Games.

 

The Costa Brava has always been one of our favorite places. The Roses and Ballena Alegre clinics have been active for more than 15 years... without stopping.

 

Motivated by the arrival of the IODA 2023 World Championships at Ballena Alegre, our objective is to organize a very complete training week combined with 5 days of fleet regattas, open both to world teams and to any expert sailor who wants to train hard and explore your potential.
